Jeff Tatay Program Director Business Development & Marketing (DPDC) MA in Environment and Natural Resources, University of Wyoming MFA in Creative Writing, University of Wyoming BA in English, Indiana University CF in International Studies, Indiana University (7+ years at LEAF & DPDC) Jeff is a licensed childcare provider in the state of Wyoming, the program director at LEAF, and the business development & marketing coordinator and Developmental Center. He holds a master’s in Creative Writing and Environment and Natural Resources from University of Wyoming. His undergraduate degrees are in English, Spanish Language, and International Studies from Indiana University. Jeff is interested in literacy, dual-language, social-emotional learning, and is a curious, life-long learner who loves working with kids, reading, and making art. Jeff lives with his wife and son in Laramie and enjoys hiking, birding, fishing, snowboarding, filmmaking, writing, reading, and photography. Above all, he finds great fulfillment in his service to the health and well-being of the families and children at LEAF and DPDC. Lilly Miller
Assistant Director Classroom Teacher AA in Elementary Education, Laramie County Community College Lilly is currently working on her bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She earned her associate degree during the spring of 2022 through Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne and has worked in the Early Childhood field for four years. Some of her goals in teaching are building a bond with the students, creating a safe space, involving hands-on activities, and creating fun experiences that the children will remember. Lilly enjoys watching Marvel movies, drawing, reading, doing homework, and spending time with her family, friends, and animals. She also enjoys going out and exploring nature with her dog when she has free time. Bree Johnson
Classroom Teacher Bree was raised in Big Springs, Nebraska. She studies Elementary Education at the University of Wyoming and holds an associate degree from Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming. It has always been a dream of hers to work with children and be a big part of influencing their development. Bree’s goals in teaching are to build strong and trusting relationships with the students and their families. She believes that a safe and welcoming environment is important for a student’s growth. Some of her favorite activities are: playing guitar, spending time with her dog Velma, and, when she is home, she is always at the barn riding her horse, reading, painting, drawing, and spending time with her family. Classroom Teacher Gaten is from Worland Wyoming and has spent the last 5 years living in Laramie. He started working as a classroom teacher at LEAF during our summer program in 2023 and loved every minute of it. He is now the lead teacher in the Eagles classroom and is looking forward to all the fun and exciting activities he has planned for the kids this school year. Some of his hobbies include golfing, fishing, watching Marvel movies, going to the gym, and spending time with his family and friends. Gaten’s goals in the classroom are to make it a space where the students can express themselves freely, feel safe, build on prior knowledge, and learn through hands-on experiences. Helping his mom raise his little sister and niece, he was able to teach them skills that they still use today like reading, drawing, and writing.
