Social & Emotional Learning
Mission Statement
Using evidence-based practices, we aim to support each child’s social emotional growth with a primary focus on building strong relationships, teaching emotional regulation, and creating positive, proactive environments. While we do plan specific lessons to support social emotional growth, we understand the need for a “systems thinking” approach, meaning our social emotional curriculum is linked to, and can be seen in, each of our main programs and our everyday lessons.

At LEAF we envision an environment that is proactive, nurturing, and supportive of each child’s social and emotional needs through relationships and the use of evidence-based social emotional learning practices.
