Summer Program 2026
Our Summer Program is adventure-filled and action-packed with a focus on building real-world skills through hands-on learning. With an emphasis on environment and natural resource studies and outdoor recreation activities, students in the LEAF Summer Program will attend a variety of field trips including Vedauwoo, UW Geology Museum, UW Planetarium, and Wyoming Territorial Prison. Students will be prepared with vocabulary, and inquiry-based learning practices in the classroom before getting outside where they will learn how to use field guides to identify plants and animals and gain a greater understanding of the role we play in our environment. A variety of guest speakers representing careers in law enforcement, athletics, science, and the arts will visit LEAF throughout the summer to educate our students on various topics and help give them a greater understanding of potential career paths and interests. The goal of Summer Camp is to use experiential and inquiry-based learning as a means of introducing children to a variety of academic disciplines, interests, and career paths all while having fun. We believe that summertime for children should be fun, memorable, engaging, and full of life enriching experiences. Our staff is dedicated to safety and teaching, but are also invested in making your child's summer an experience that will forever guide them through their development as healthy, prosperous adults.
